Nature thrives in the tropics like no place on earth. Dense vegetation covers the mountainous terrain of Puerto Rico practically from coast to coast, and that means a treasure trove for adventurers on the lookout for some excitement outdoors.
From rock climbing in the Toro Negro Forest to spelunking in the Camuy Caverns, you will have your plate full in Puerto Rico.

You can drive 40 minutes from San Juan to go canoeing in El Yunque Rainforest one day, while the next, you can head one hour west to go deep into the belly of the Island belaying into Cathedral Cavern in the Camuy Underground River System, the third largest on the planet.
