- Carry both your health insurance identity card as proof of such insurance and a claim form.
- 4-6 weeks before traveling see your health care provider to find out what shots and prescriptions are
recommended for your personal needs.
- Drugs to prevent malaria, called anti-malarials are available only by prescription through a health care
provider. Travelers going to Asia should discuss the benefits of these medications with their doctor.
- Insect repellents with DEET are recommended.
- Sunblock and sunglasses should be purchased, in advance, in the U.S.
- Make sure you have sufficient prescription medications for your trip.
