Trip Highlights and Itinerary*

Overview

Carpenter Company travel staff will assist you on your arrival and will be available throughout your trip to see to your needs. The Hospitality Desk will be open at the hotel during posted hours, manned by professional staff eager to assist you in every way possible.

Day 1- Arrive Hawaii

  • Air transportation via scheduled airline service from various Carpenter departure gateways.
  • Greeting by Carpenter travel staff upon arrival at Kona International Airport, after which you will board a private deluxe motorcoach to the hotel
  • Check-in to your pre-registered, pre-assigned accommodations at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, where you'll be treated to seven days and six nights of luxurious hospitality!
  • Enjoy a Welcome Evening, held poolside to include an open bar, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, along with pasta, carving station and ice cream sundae station for your dining enjoyment.

Days 2 through 5

  • Full buffet breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Complimentary use of a mid or full-size rental car for three days with air-conditioning and no mileage charge (based on 2 couples per car).
  • Explore the island on your own or enjoy any of the facilities offered by the hotel (see "Optional Activities" below)
  • Evening Dining
    • Three evenings of dinner dine arounds using a selection of popular restaurants based on mini a la carte menus, utilizing the car rentals for transportation.
    • On another evening, join Carpenter's Hawaiian Luau featuring a traditional luau dinner menu and Polynesian show

Day 6

  • Full buffet breakfast at the Hotel.
  • A day of leisure. Feel free to enjoy the Hotel's many amenities, or choose one of the optional activities listed below.
  • Carpenter's Gala Farewell Evening, complete with open bar, live musical entertainment during the reception, a delicious meal along with additional live entertainment throughout the evening.

Day 7 - Depart Hawaii

  • Full buffet breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Transfers back to the Kona International Airport for air transportation back to your home in the United States or Canada.

Optional Activities*

During your stay, take part in a wide variety of optional activities available at the Hotel or nearby. Enjoy lounging at the Oceanside pool, or take in one of the white sand beaches along Kauna'oa Bay. Indulge in a treatment or Swedish Massage at the Hapuna Spa. Or hit your best overhand shot at one of the 11 oceanside tennis courts.

Other ocean activities from which you might choose are deep-sea fishing (some of the best in the world) ... whale watching ... or snorkeling on the Body Glove. Choose from swimming, scuba diving, kayaking and catamaran tours. There are the helicopter tours, "Rough Riding" ATV trips, and other action adventures along with historical attractions in the surrounding area.

Then of course there is golf! Golf is the signature sport at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. The 18-hole links style Hapuna Golf Course was voted as one of the top 50 golf resorts in 2001 by Conde Nast Traveler. Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, it is nestled into the dramatic natural contours of the land from the shoreline to about 700 feet above sea level, and features spectacular views of Maune Kea and the Kohala coast.

Add to this the legendary Mauna Kea Golf Course, named among "America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" by Golf Digest. Created by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Mauna Kea also offers dramatic changes in elevation, large undulating greens and 120 well-placed bunkers in an 18-hole, 72-par championship masterpiece.
